A loan of $500 helped to buy clothing, footwear, and blankets.

Patience's story

Greetings from Zimbabwe.

Patience is a 46-year-old widow with three children. Two of the children attend school.

Patience has run a retail shop in town for the last 10 years to sell clothing items, footwear and blankets. She requests $500.00 USD to buy clothing items, footwear, and blankets from neighboring countries to resell. She says the income generated from the loan will help to educate her children and improve the quality of their lives.

The major challenges she is faced with are the high cost of import taxes and stiff competition. She would like to open her own fashion boutique shop in the future.
