Nurjamal's story

Nurjamal is 46 years old, married and, together with her husband, is raising two children. Nurjamal has an advanced education, she is a college graduate with an accounting degree. Currently, she is working as a homemaker. With the help of her husband and her children, she raises cattle and grows crops, a business that she started in 1999 with a purchase of livestock for 5,000 som (KGS).

Thanks to Nurjamal's hard work, she currently has 2 cows, 35 sheep, and 2 calves. In addition, she is cultivating 1.92 hectares of land to grow beans. Her annual harvest is 4,000 kg of beans. She sells the harvested produce to bulk re-sellers. Her annual income from the business is 10,000 som (KGS). In order to expand her enterprise, Nurjamal turned to the bank of Bai Tushum & Partners for a loan to purchase additional cows. She is planning to keep the cows in a barn on her own property. In the summer, the cows will be tended to by the shepherd. Some profits from her business, Nurjamal plans to reinvest and use to increase the size of her herd, the other part she plans to save for the wedding celebration of her youngest son.
