Mary's story

Mary is a 28-year-old married woman. She has three children. She describes herself to be optimistic. She operates a transport business where she transports customers using a tuk tuk. She has been involved in this business for three years. Her business is located in a vibrant place, and her primary customers are of all types. She describes her biggest business challenge to be lack of capital.

She will use the 120,000 Kenyan shillings loan to buy stock of groceries to enable her to open a grocery store. This will enable her to earn more income. Her business goal is to own a van within five years. She hopes that in the future, she will build a permanent home for her family. This is her fourth loan with SMEP DTM.
