Arnaldo's story

Arnaldo is twenty-two years old. He lives in the small town of El Tambillo, a rural community in the district of Santo Tomás. Here, the climate is very varied and there are abundant forests. The people here make a living in agriculture, trade, and livestock. The town is located in the Cutervo province and belongs to the Cajamarca region in the northern mountains of Peru.

Arnaldo makes a living in agriculture, particularly in cultivating Catimor coffee. He also raises cattle. His wife supports him in this work by milking the cows so that they may sell fresh milk and cheese.

He has requested a loan for 3,000 soles, which he will use to pay for his coffee crop maintenance. This will allow him to generate greater income for his family.
