A loan of $1,000 helped to buy a cow and two pigs for her butcher business.

Rosa Amelia's story

Rosa is well known for her honesty and enterprising skills. She raises livestock and pigs and also runs a butcher business. She learned the trade from her parents and has been in business for ten years. The advantage is that she works at home with the help of her children. Rosa is married and has three children, ages 16, 12 and 10.

The loan she is requesting is to buy a cow and two pigs for her business. By making only one purchase she will be able to save and increase her earnings. She hopes to strengthen her business and pay back her loan on time. She wants to have a well-established business to improve her economy and give her family a better lifestyle. Most of all she wants to give her children the tools they need to excel in their education.
