Señor De Accha Group's story

The communal bank "Senor de Accha" was founded in 2000, is currently in the fourth cycle, and is made up of 20 members, 15 women and 5 men. It is a community bank made up of members who live in the district of Pisac, located in the Sacred Valley 25 minutes from the city of Cusco. The partners that make up the community bank are principally engaged in handicrafts because they are from Pisac, a town largely of artisans. Sunday fairs in Pisac are a tourist attraction, where members sell their handicrafts, including jewelry, textiles, ceramics.
The partners value principally the access to credit and the culture of saving, as main axes of the program of community banks.
