A loan of $3,875 helped a member to buy peanut paste for retailing.

Khady's Group's story

This group has been in existence since the launch of the banc villageois. It is composed of five women from the same village who maintain good social and working ties.

Mrs. Arame, the group's leader, is 53 years old, married, and the mother of four: three daughters and one son. She is standing on the right in the photo.
For almost 10 years, she has been selling peanut paste and thus has plenty of experience.
Her new loan of 490,000 West African francs will allow her to buy pails of peanut paste to retail at the local weekly market. The derived revenue will allow her to cover expenses related to food, education and healthcare for her children.

In this group: Khady, Korka, Marieme, Oumy, Arame
