A loan of $1,475 helped to buy food and other stock for his own buisness.

Omar Armando's story

Omar is a vibrant and hardworking man. He is 35 years old and lives with his wife and their two children, ages 5 and 12. He strives tirelessly to provide his children sustenance and an education.

Omar got involved in the food industry more than 17 years ago. He worked as an employee at various restaurants. While gaining experience, he acquired all the necessary knowledge before deciding to become independent. Five years ago, he started his own restaurant and now works there Monday through Saturday from 7:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. He has the assistance of four employees who report directly to him.

The loan he is requsting will be used to buy inventory in bulk (vegetables, meats, sauces, sodas, and disposable goods). By maintaining adequate stock, he will be able to satisfy current demand and provide better service to his patrons. As a result, he will be able to achieve an increase in his sales and his income.

Omar says that his greatest wish is to keep progressing as an independent merchant. He hopes to establish his business and make it grow so that he can have guaranteed financial stability. This would allow him to enjoy a better quality of life with his family and to provide a better education for his two children.
