Juan Manuel's story

Juan Manuel, 33, lives with his wife and their son in the Colasay district which is known for its green forests and its citizens that work mainly in agriculture, trade and livestock. Colasay is located in the Provincia de Jaen which is part of the Cajamarca region in the northern mountains of Peru. He has an artisanal oven which for the past six years he has used to bake various types of breads, cookies, and pastries. Juan Manuel has a considerable amount of customers and is asking for a loan of 3000 nuevos soles to buy pans, racks and cooling shelves to include in his bakery. With these additions, he will have better facilities to provide his products to his customers.
