Doktur's story

Doktur is 57 years old, married, and together with her husband, is raising four children. Doktur has a secondary-specialized education. She graduated from a medical college and has a nursing degree. Her professional career began in a local hospital where she works to this day. Doktur is very responsible, gregarious and cheerful by nature. Additionally, Doktur and her husband practice livestock breeding and crop farming. She started this business 18 years ago with 7,000 som (KGS). Thanks to Doktur's hard work, she currently has 1 milk cow, 1 bull calf, 40 sheep and 1 horse on her farm. Her monthly income is 14,000 som (KGS). They also cultivate a 2.40 hectare plot of land on which she primarily grows beans, potatoes and perennial grasses. The received harvest if sold to wholesale distributors. For the purpose of further developing her business, Doktur turned to Microfinance Bank "Bai Tushum." She is requesting a loan to buy sheep to increase the size of her herd. Doktur plans to invest the earnings from the loan in the further acquisition of livestock.
