A loan of $1,500 helped to buy agricultural supplies to attend to her coffee crops this season.

Angelina's story

Thanks to the financing brought by various investors on Kiva's platform, and in alliance with the COMIXMUL cooperative, Angelina bought supplies, including 20 bags of fertilizer, that she needed to attend to her coffee crops and pay for day labor to clean her farm. Thanks to this first loan, she was able to protect her crops to keep them from being exposed to leaf rust. In these days this has been affecting coffee crops and has destroyed crops on other coffee producers' lands.

She is very grateful for the support because her crops were not affected and she reached her goal, thus allowing her to pay her loan off. She is now hoping again to be hoped by these investors because she is requesting a second loan to attend to her crops. This is because her plants were a little worn by the soil after being cut and she needs to recuperate these crops for the coming season.
