Nurana's story

Nurana is 35 years old, married, with a daughter and a son. Her husband earns money for family working as a laborer. The members of family are refugees and have lived in an IDP settlement for a long time. Nurana has been working as a farmer for 15 years and has good skills in this area. She grows figs trees then sells them at local bazaar, and earns 150AZN monthly.

Fig is a very useful and tasty fruit. Azerbaijan people prepare jams for dessert with tea. They use it as liquor to alleviate colds. Dried figs are also very useful for health.

Nurana needs money to make her garden better. She wants to build a green house for the fig trees and protect them from severe weather. Besides that, she wants to expand her business and increase income. She needs to cover her family’s living costs and children’s education. She applied for 1500AZN in order to buy more fruit trees and raise them.
