A loan of $3,000 helped to purchase seed and fertilizer and cover cultivation costs.

Hasmik's story

Hasmik is married and has one adult child who works in construction. She is a pharmacist working in the local pharmacy. Hasmik is also involved in farming activities. She cultivates tomatoes and sells the harvest locally. As a hardworking woman, she does her best to earn enough income for her family's well being.

Because her farm needs some financial investments, Hasmik requested her first loan, which she will use to purchase seeds and fertilizer and cover cultivation costs. This loan will be a big support for her farming business and has been approved within the framework of the new joint initiative between Kiva and SEF. The first-chance loan program provides loans to people who did not have access to credit products in the past because they have no credit history.
