A loan of $1,450 helped to buy farming supplies to look after her coffee crops.

Nidian Melinda's story

Nidian is 36 years old and fights every day for her two children's well-being. Her children are studying at the local high school. Nidian herself only completed up to third grade of high school. She got this far thanks to the effort and support of her parents. Nidian is married and her husband and two children support her with her work in the field. They help with cleaning and harvest, and laying down manure. Nidian has just under six acres of land where she grows coffee. She thanks God for the many blessings bestowed upon her and her family. Nidian has been doing this work for over 15 years. Her customers are the community stores, and business from neighbouring areas.

Nidian's goals and dreams for the future are to continue growing coffee on her land so that she can, one day, export it other countries in greater quantities. She wants to earn higher profits and be a certified exporter. Nidian would also like to expand her home and prepare her children for their education. To do all this, Nidian is applying for a loan in order to help her look after her coffee crops this season. She will buy fertilisers and manure.
