A loan of $375 helped to buy a calf for future dairy production.

Jose Luis's story

José Luis is 33 years old and lives with his wife in the village of El Frayle, a rural area in the District of Santo Tomás that is known for its abundant vegetation and varied climate. The people engage in agriculture, trade, and livestock breeding. This community is located in Cutervo Province, which is part of the region of Cajamarca in the northern mountains of Peru.

José Luis raises and sells cattle. He owns four heads of cattle and has planted two hectares during the winter where his cattle graze. His wife helps with milking the cows. She also uses the milk to make fresh cheese and soft cheese that she sells at the district market.

José is requesting a loan from Edpyme Alternativa in the amount of 1,000 PEN so that he can buy a calf that he can raise to help improve dairy production in the future.
