Mohamed's story

Greetings from Sierra Leone! This is 37-year-old Ibrahim from Masuba, Makeni, in the northern area of Sierra Leone. He was a farmer; he started this business because he could not get employment in any farm.

Mohamed runs an electronics business within a busy market area; he sells cables, lights, fans, plug, bulbs, radios and switches. He has been running this business since 2001. He works at the business from 7:00 am until 6:00 pm, 6 days a week. Mohamed says that the major problem for his business is customs (authorities).

Mohamed has requested a loan in order to purchase different kinds of electronics items like cables, lights, fans, plugs, bulbs, radios and switches. The extra income from this loan will allow him to open a savings account and take care of his family welfare. In the future, he plans to expand his business more than ever. He thanks you for your support!
