Shirley is 32 years old and single with 3 children. She runs a pharmacy business. She began her business in order to for her to grow as an individual.

She has been in this business for 3 years and sells malarial drugs, pain tablets, blood syrup and cholera drugs within her community. Her business is the only source of income that she has. She says that the main challenges to her business are lack of proper electricity and security.

Shirley requested this loan through BRAC Sierra Leone to purchases more malarial drugs, pain tablets, blood syrup and cholera drugs to expand her business. She says that the extra income from this loan will help her educate her children and increase her business. In the future, she would like to open a big clinic in the community.
