Dusanure Group's story

Josélyne is part of the group Dusanure and lives in Bujumbura. She is 37 years old and married to Denis, a welder. Together they have three children, from 4 to 9 years old, of whom two are students. Josélyne has been doing commerce in rice for twelve years. She is on her tenth Turame loan. With the KIVA loan she is obtaining, she is going to increase her capital and purchase a large amount of rice (10 sacks) to resell, so as to earn more. In the coming years, she would like to do commerce importing 'pagnes' (the colorful cloth of western Africa) and shoes from Dubai.
