Bushra's story

Bushra is a 41-year-old married woman. She has been successfully running a small general store with her husband at the corner of her house. Her husband also assists her by purchasing stock of goods from the market, as he has maintained many contacts over the years.

She is a mother of four children and is motivated to provide her family with good quality food, clothing and health. She wants to grow her business, so she requested a loan of 60,000 PKR (Pakistani rupees) to buy packs of salts, biscuits and beverages to meet with the increasing demand at her store. She is expecting a boost in her earnings and dreams of expanding her business in the future.
