Shakeela's story

Shakeela is a 31 year old woman, residing in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. She is a responsible mother of four children. Her husband has been running his own business of medicine retailing and wholesaling for the past twelve years. He is the guardian of his family and is also responsible for fulfilling the needs of his entire family.

Shakeela's husband needs to buy different kinds of medicines for reselling purposes to increase sales and to meet the demands of his customers, but due to financial constraints he is not in a suitable position to buy these medicines. Therefore Shakeela has applied for a Kiva loan from BRAC Pakistan to help her husband in his business. This loan will enable her husband to buy these medicines as per his business needs and this will also enable him to earn a profitable income from his business.
