Hanifa is 38 years old and lives in the town of Rukoki in the Fort Portal region of Uganda. She is married and has two children, with one of them currently in school. For the past five years, Hanifa has been working hard to manage her restaurant business, which sells food and soft drinks.
To help expand her business, Hanifa has requested a loan of 2,000,000 Ugandan Shillings from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to buy more food items, chairs and tables, and will help Hanifa to generate greater profits and expand the business. Hanifa hopes that in the future, she will be able to increase her income.
