A loan of $500 helped to buy tables and chairs for his business selling pupusas.

Nehemías Esaú's story

Nehemías, who is 24 years old, has a partner and just one daughter, who is one year old. He studied as far as second year of high school and currently lives with his mother and siblings. For the last 2 years he has had a business selling pupusas [thick corn tortillas stuffed with cheese, fried pork rind, chicken, or refried beans]. He learnt this business from a friend and some time afterwards his friend left him the business to look after.

Nehemías is asking for the loan as he needs it to invest in the business, since he wants to improve it and fit his premises out better by buying tables and chairs. This will enable him to improve his quality of life as it will provide him with better profits so he can bring his family up.

Nehemías dreams of stocking the business better and hiring more staff to provide his customers with a good service. He will use the profits to continue investing.
