Fighting for a better future? We need your help.

Creating a more equitable world takes a lot of time and energy, but at Kiva we’re in it for the long haul. 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans. That means we rely on donations from people like you to make this work possible. For a limited time, if you donate $35 or more, a $25 bonus will be added to your account (you’ll get an email once it’s there).

Tabassum's story

Tabassum is a 44-year-old married woman. She has been successfully running a small general store with her husband (also shown in the photo). They make a good amount to cover their household expenditures. They have maintained many regular customers. She is a mother of three children and is motivated to provide her family with good quality food, clothing and health. She wants to grow the family business so she requested a loan of 40,000 PKR to buy packs of salt, biscuits and beverages to meet with the increasing demand at their store. She hopes to increase their sales and profits.
