A loan of $1,950 helped to buy cows for fattening and resale.

Nurila's story

Nurila is a 59-year-old native of the Rudaki district, married, and has three children. Nurila has a high school education and earns her family's main income through animal husbandry. She started in the livestock business 6 years ago when she purchased cattle for 10,000 som. Thanks to her hard work, Nurila now has 4 dairy cows, 1 mare, 5 goats, and a 3.5 hectare plot of land for planting barley, wheat, potatoes and hay. She earns 10,000 som per month. In order to expand her farm, Nurila asked Bai-Tushum and Partners for a loan to buy cows to fatten and sell at the market for a profit. She plans to use the profits to invest in additional livestock and to save money for her daughter's education.
