Al-Helal Group's story

The Al-Helal Group consists of five women from Hodeidah, Yemen. They have asked for a loan in the total amount of 200,000 YER from AMB (Al-Amal Microfinance Bank).

Najood, 39 years old, is a married woman with four children. She is illiterate and lives with her children in a small house. She works very hard to provide her family with everything they need, but what she earns is really not enough. For three years, she has been a door-to-door clothes and cosmetics seller. To date she has earned good profits, and she now wants to expand her business, which would enable her to earn more money. As a result, she applied for a loan to buy clothes and cosmetic materials for her business. She hopes to improve her family's living standards.
