A loan helped to buy fertilizers.

Gulfara's story

Gulfara is 53 years old, married and raised a son together with her husband, and their son already has his own family. Her husband works at a tax inspection and has a monthly and stable salary, and helps Gulfara with the business in his free time. Gulfara has a secondary education. To provide the primary source of income for her family, Gulfara is involved in farming and animal husbandry, having started 19 years ago with 10,000 som (KGS). Thanks to Gulfara's hard work, today her business contains 2 horses, 1 heifer, 15 sheep and 1.0 hectares of land, where she annually grows potatoes and beans for internal consumption and sale. The monthly income amounts to 10,000 som (KGS). In order to further develop her business, Gulfara requested a loan from the bank "Bai-Tushum" to buy fertilizers for treating the soil in order to get a good harvest. Gulfara plans to invest the earnings from the loan into increasing domestic livestock quantities and saving money for her grandsons' education.
