A loan of $3,450 helped to buy more hens and chickens, and later to enlargen his lake for trout cultivation.

Mauricio Enrique's story

Mauricio is 41 years old, lives in the countryside, and has a store from which he makes and sells corn arepas (traditional Colombian snack) in the city of Sincelejo. This has been his main method of supporting his family. However, a little over a year ago, Mauricio decided to also raise chickens, hens and trout, business which has been in his family. He sells his produce in various stores as well as directly to neighbors in his area. He wants to invest his loan in the purchase of more hens and chickens, as well as to enlargen the lake where he cultivates the trout. His dream is to grow his business, generate employment, and improve his and his family's quality of life.
