A loan of $3,450 helped a member purchase more products to increase their sales.

San Pablo Group's story

In the Panamerican focal center we find the "San Pablo" association, which to date has nine active members who work together with Kiva partner Pro-Mujer for more than seven years. The members' businesses are diverse, for example, some of the women run a small brand-name (Reblon) perfume distribution; Sonia is owner of a convenience store, and Luz is as well; other members sell electric appliances on credit to institutions and certain people. The majority of the members are married with children — Lidia and Verónica are the only single members in the group — and all are untied by the goal to work for their families' economic stabilities. All of the women want to increase their sales, which in turn means they need to buy a larger quantity of supplies, so they can generate more earnings to allow them to improve the quality of life for their families.
