A loan of $3,750 helped to hire translators and purchase additional equipment.

Juliana's story

Juliana was originally from Brazil and chose to attend Boston University in order to pursue her passion for the field of communications. During her time there, she founded a translation company, Mass Translations, which works to help coordinate English and Portuguese speakers.

Juliana hopes to continue working on international projects similar to her experience with the Conference at the Department of Education in Washington D.C., in which 65 delegates from Brazil came to discuss different ideas and concerns surrounding education.

She hopes to continue to expand her business by hiring additional translators, purchasing translating equipment to facilitate translations on a larger level, and increase opportunities for her to work.
