Guillermina's story

Mrs Guillermina is 52 years old, she studied only until the second year of secundary school. He is cohabitant and a mother of three children. Unfortunately one of her children died and her two children already have their own families. She lives on Trujillo Nº 256, in the district of Mazocruz, in the province of the Collao.

She is one of the oldest partners of the "Generation 2000" Communal Bank . With the initial loan, she increased her working capital and bought a gasoline cylinder. For past 17 years she has sold fuel, gasoline, oil and kerosene.

When Guillermina was 16 years old she got married and started doing sales: at the beginning she was selling bread and fruits, and later, with the support of her husband, she started selling meat of alpaca, llama and sheep.

With this loan of $525 which will be repay over a period of 4 months, she plans to buy 2 cylinders of gasoline, every cylinder costs $245. She sells one cylinder of gasoline a week.

Her biggest dream is to have a faucet at home and to keep on supporting her children.
