A loan of $1,500 helped a member to buy chicks and feed for poultry production.

High Hope Group's story

Greetings from Zimbabwe! This is 54-year-old Martha from Mutare. She is married with three children, and all of them are attending school.

Martha runs a poultry business of rearing chickens. The business has been in operation for five years. She says the main challenges faced are high competition and late payments by clients who buy on credit.

Martha has requested a loan of $350 to buy day-old chicks and feed for poultry production. She says the extra income generated as a result of this loan will allow her to improve her general family welfare.

In the future, Martha plans to employ four workers and buy a delivery truck for her business.

Martha is a member of High Hope group.
