A loan of $1,150 helped a member to buy stock for her retail shop and food ingredients for her food stall.

Weke Buke Group's story

Night is a businesswoman who manages her living by running two businesses. She manages a shop selling dry foods, vouchers, match boxes and other things. She also owns a food stall where she provides food services. She has been in these businesses for ten years now and she starts from 6am to 9pm daily. Night is in her early thirties and has got three kids who are in school. She is able to make a small monthly profit.

This will be her third loan request from Tujijenge Tanzania. She used the loans to buy stock for her shop like rice, maize flour, baking flour, sugar, salt, etc. She has paid back all of her loans successfully. With the profit she earned, Night paid school fees and home food expenses. Night saved part of her business profit. She will use this new loan to buy stock for her retail shop and food ingredients for her food stall. She dreams of improving her family's life with a nice house and providing her kids with a better education.

Night will share this loan with her loan group "Weke Buke" which totals three members. The members of the group will hold each other accountable for paying back the loan.

In this group: Night, Dafroza, Mectilida
