A loan of $1,125 helped to pay for grocery items, toiletries and beverages needed in her business.

Aida's story

Aida is thankful for the financial assistance extended to her. She was able to buy more products for her variety store. Her loan helped not just in her business but also in the education of her children. Her income from business is assisting with their everyday household expenditures. She and her husband are working hard to provide for their everyday household expenditures. She also has a food stall for additional income.

She would like to apply for another 50,000 PHP loan for her to buy groceries, toiletries, beverages and other products to add to her inventory. The more items displayed at the store, the better. More items to sell will result in better profit. Her profits from business will definitely help sustain her family’s daily needs and children’s education expenses. She looks forward to this financial increase with gladness and thankfulness in her heart.

Aida dreams that her store will grow bigger as well as hopes to give her children a good life and education. Every week, she meets with her co-fellowship members* to share stories of her life and business as well as to draw strength and inspiration from the fellowship and from her studies of the Word of God.

*All Center for Community Transformation (CCT) community partners/clients are organized into fellowship groups that meet on a weekly basis. A fellowship group is composed of 15 to 30 community partners. The fellowship groups gather each week to study the Word of God, build social capital and repay microfinance loans.
