Ouleymatou's Group's story

Created on July 16, 2012, this 'banc villageois' is composed of women who are very dedicated with a desire to make their revenue-generating businesses prosper. There is an understanding and a spirit of mutual assistance among the group members. They all live in the same district and are mainly active in small-scale commerce.

Ms. Ouleymatou (sitting at the far right with her hand raised) is the featured borrower of the group. She is a married mother of three children (two boys and a girl). She is active in selling vegetables and a variety of seafood. She has had a table at the district market for over five years.

With this new loan, she intends to purchase a sack of cabbage at 10,000 francs CFA, a bag of carrots at 4,500 francs, and a variety of other vegetables for resale according to customer needs.

With the profits, she wishes to increase her savings, as well as to do better at ensuring family needs are met.
