A loan of $3,400 helped a member to buy rice, pasta, soap, sweetener, sweets, and other products to sell.

Shalom Group's story

The group Shalom is in its second cycle within the women's committee program, where they all work and help each other get ahead. This committee is from the city of Mariano Roque Alonso. Its members have set the growth of each one of them as their main goal, not only regarding financial growth, but personal as well.

Adriana is one of the women in this group. Her poverty elimination survey showed that she was in the 'red level', but she is getting ahead thanks to the trainings she has been doing, and also by selling assorted products like rice, pasta, soap, sweetener, sweets, and other items. Her fellow members' unconditional support has also helped her, and in the future she hopes to increase production and diversify the products she offers. She wants a better future for her children, which is why she doubles her efforts in pursuing her ideal.

She is requesting this loan so that she can buy rice, pasta, soap, sweetener, sweets, and other items in order to sell them and keep improving her sales.

In this group: Felipa, Ramona, Mirta, Lucia, Clara, Aurelia, Eugenia, Maximina, Lidia, Sonnia, Laudelina, Veronica, Nidia, Adriana, Ada, Marcia, Celia
