A loan helped a member to buy hair color, scissors, creams and nail polish to offer better customer service.

Sol De Huascata Group's story

This is the communal bank "Sol de Huascata" which is comprised of six supportive members who strive every day for a better life. They are in their sixth loan cycle. Such is the case of one of the members, Celia, who is 47, married and has two independent children. Through much effort, Celia has been able to meet some of her goals such as starting a business and renovating her home.

For over ten years, Celia has been running a beauty salon where she provides hair cuts, hair treatments, styling, manicure, etc. On this occasion she is requesting a loan to buy hair color, scissors, creams and nail polish so she can offer better customer service.

Celia's dream is to open another salon so she can earn more income. The group "Sol de Huascata" is grateful for the loan and committed to continuing to work well. Celia is second from the right in a black top and light blue pants.
