Ecuador
San Lorenzo, Ecuador / Clothing Sales

A loan of $1,200 helped to buy children's clothes and women's trousers.

Lorena's story

Thirty-three year old Lorena is a plucky woman. She has an six-year-old daughter and a son, eight, and lives in the El Pedregal barrio, a suburb of San Lorenzo that has many problems. Lorena currently has a home provided by a government organisation. Her husband has no fixed job but does mining work.

Lorena has a shop where she sells clothes for children, young people and adults. She provides work to another woman who tends to the customers.

This loan will be used to buy children's clothes and women's trousers, as these are the products that sells best in this town.

Lorena really enjoys spending time with her friends doing community work. Lorena is committed to her work and very responsible with her family.

Lorena thanks "FODEMI" and Kiva for the support that they are giving to poor people.
