A loan of $1,450 helped to buy an additional buffalo for producing milk.

Rana Nasir's story

Rana Nasir is age 38, a young and energetic man living in the area of Lahore, Pakistan. He has been working in this business for many years and generating income for his family. His sibling is too young, and his father has grown old and does not do any job. His efforts are for providing comfort to his parents and sibling as well.

He is a milkman by profession; he sells milk in his community and bull calves to the butcher. He has few buffalo, and he produces milk two times in a day. He delivers milk in the market and door-to-door. For delivery purposes, he uses his motorbike. He loads milk cans on his bike and delivers them early in the morning. His customers like the fresh and delicious milk he delivers. His monthly net income is too low to meet the household needs. Therefore, Rana Nasir has requested a loan from Kiva’s field partner BRAC Pakistan, so that he would be able to buy an additional buffalo for getting more milk to sell.

Rana Nasir wants to increase his herd by purchasing more buffalo so that he can care for his whole family well. Rana Nasir thanks Kiva and field partner BRAC Pakistan.
