A loan of $1,500 helped a member to repair the engine of his dala dala.


Kilombero Group's story

Obasanjo, who is in his late 30s, is married with three children. Two of his children are in school and one is still small. He has had a public transportation business for 10 years now. He works from 6:30 am until 9 pm daily and is able to make a very good monthly profit.

This will be Obasanjo's 13th loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. He used the previous loans to maintain his dala dala (minibus share taxis) and has paid back all of his loans successfully. He used the profit to pay school fees, build one room to rent and cover his household expenses. He will use his loan to repair the engine of the dala dala, He dreams of owing a big business.

Obasanjo will share this loan with his group "Kilombero", which has two members who will hold each other accountable for paying back the loan.
