A loan of $600 helped to buy flour and firewood for baking “lepeshka”.

Musalamkhon's story

Musalamkhon S. is 39 years old, and is married with four children. For the past 7 years, she has been baking “lepeshka,” the national Tajik bread. Musalamkhon works hard to earn an honest living. She gets up early and bakes lepeshka so that people have the fresh bread on their tables for breakfast.

Initially, Musalamkhon only baked the lepeshka, but never sold it herself. Gradually, the business expanded, her children grew up and, today, it is a family business that includes her adult children and a trading place in the market.

Today, Musalamkhon requests 2000 Somoni ($600 USD) in order to purchase flour and firewood for baking the lepeshka. She would like to ensure that she is ready to repay the loan in 10 months.

Thanks to everyone for trusting and supporting her. The well-being of this family is in your hands.
