A loan of $1,500 helped to purchase supplies to help her yucca crops.

Mari Xiomara's story

Mari Xiomara is a 34-year-old woman. She is married, a housewife, and also a farmer. She has been a farmer since she was very young, as her parents taught her how to work the land, specifically harvesting yucca. She is the mother of three children, all of whom study at a school in the community.

Mari Xiomara has a lot of experience with farming since she has dedicated the last 10 years to harvesting yucca along with her husband. In the region where they live, it is easy to grow yucca due to fertile land and a climate that is ideal for this type of crop. The land that she and her husband farm is their own, thankfully it is located 40 minutes away on foot. She completed a secondary education since her parents were very supportive of her, hoping that she would be able to graduate as business expert or accountant.

She has requested a loan from COMIXMUL which will allow her to provide better technical assistance to her crops, such as better cleaning, fertilizer, and manure, for example, which will bring better results during the harvest.

Her goal with this financial support is to improve production and support it completely. Her goals are to continue expanding her crops and to generate more income with which she can fix her house, support her children's education, and help them become successful professionals.
