A loan of $425 helped to buy stock of local brews for resale.

Rosemary's story

Rosemary is a 52-year-old single mother of eight children, with only three children attending school. She has one dependent who is her niece. Rosemary owns bar at a trading center, where she works for seven days a week and 18 hours a day.

She is also a farmer, where she earns additional income for her family. She was motivated to start a bar business by the high level of profits in the business and she hopes to use the loan to buy more stock and also renovate the bar premises to increase her clientele.

She usually sells products like beer and local brews to local people in the local area and other fellow business people.

She faces a challenge of untrustworthy customers who buy goods on credit and refuse to pay, and limited capital, which has slowed her business operations.

She is a hard working woman.
