A loan of $1,100 helped to pay the rent on the farm land, to pay for ploughing, and to purchase seeds, fertilizer and herbicides for growing corn.

Mirna Elizabeth's story

Mirna is an unassuming 45-year-old woman. She could only complete her studies up to the sixth grade because her parents were very poor and couldn't afford the school costs. She's married and her husband works in agriculture, as does she. They have four children, and with a great deal of effort and hard work she succeeded in supporting them so they could complete high school.

A hardworking woman would be the words to define Mirna. She's very knowledgeable about agriculture, since at the age of 10 she already used to go out to work on the cotton crops alongside her parents. In addition, they grew yucca and corn. Nowadays she grows two hectares of corn and she also owns three animals (cattle). She constantly tends to the animals and takes them out to the meadows so they can feed on green pastures.

The loan she's requesting from CrediCampo is very much needed, and she'll invest it in growing two hectares of corn. That way she'll be able to pay the rent on the farm land and pay for the ploughing costs. She'll also purchase seeds, fertilizer and herbicides for pest control.

Mirna has a big dream of owning her own plot of land where she can keep her cattle and sow. Besides, she has a great deal of drive to succeed and learn another trade such as dressmaking as well as baking.
