Richard F.'s Group's story

Pictured here are teachers in one of the primary schools in Kenema, a city in eastern Sierra Leone. They have come to SMT/Kiva lenders to borrow the sum of 15,500,000 Sierra Leonean Leones (SLL) in order to meet their immediate financial challenges. At the end of each month, they will repay the loan using their monthly salaries. Their school’s bursar is directly responsible for deducting the repayment and making the payments on their behalf.
