Ijaz Ahmed's story

Ijaz Ahmed is a 38-year-old energetic man living with his family in the area of Multan, Pakistan. He has been running a dairy farm for many years and generating income for his family. He sells milk to retailers and to the people of his community. He milks his cows twice a day, while his wife and daughters produce cheese, yoghurt and butter. With the addition of these products, the family earns a sufficient income to run their household.
Nowadays, Ijaz Ahmed needs to build a new cowshed for his cattle because the current one is in very poor condition. He does not have enough money to rebuild the shed or to buy fodder to feed his cattle.
Thus, Ijaz Ahmed has requested a loan from Kiva’s field partner BRAC Pakistan so that he can build a new cowshed and continue his business. He has to maximize his savings so that he can fulfil his responsibilities. He thanks Kiva and field partner, BRAC Pakistan.
