Eli's story

Eli is 36 years old and lives with his wife and children in the hamlet of San Luis, a rural area in the district of Santo Tomas. The area has electricity and water services. The community is characterized by its rugged hills. Its population is engaged in agriculture and commerce. It is located in the province of Cutervo which belongs to the Cajamarca region in the northern highlands in Peru.

He has a small shop where he works in carpentry. He makes tables, chairs, cabinets, and others. He has sold his products in his village and surrounding areas. Eli has requested a loan from Edpyme Alternativa for 1,500 Peruvian soles to buy wood and tools that he will use to work in his business. It will allow him to continue to sell his work, generating more income for his family.
