Marino's story

Marino is 38 years old and lives with his children and wife in the hamlet of San Juan Bautista, a rural district in Callayuc. Its population is engaged in agriculture, animal husbandry, and trade. It is located in the province of Cutervo in the Cajamarca region in the northern highlands of Peru.

Marino is engaged in farming, especially cultivating coffee. He has 8 years of experience in this business. His wife supports him by cooking for the workers that maintain their farms. They are a close family. Marino has requested a loan of 2,501 Peruvian soles to purchase fertilizer for growing coffee. It will protect his crops and provide a timely harvest for his customers.
