A loan of $1,800 helped to buy medicines and open a pharmacy.

Imomali's story

Imomali is a 62-year-old resident of the city of Kulob in Tajikistan. He is married and the father of three sons and one daughter. Imomali has a medical degree, and for the past 15 years, he has been working as the main physician at a local hospital. He is now also planning to launch a new business in the field of pharmacy. He would like to open a pharmacy in his neighborhood, in order to provide access to medication to the local population. He knows how difficult it is for the local residents to purchase essential medications. They often have to go into the city, which is very time-consuming. In order to realize his project, Imomali needs 1,800 USD and he is taking a loan in this amount. He has already found commercial space for his pharmacy, so he will use his loan amount to buy medicines in bulk from the city and transport them into his shop. This loan means a lot to Imomali and the residents of his neighborhood!
