A loan of $700 helped to buy 5 bags of beans, 15 hundred-weight of maize and 2 hundred-weight of rice.

María Dora's story

María is 42. She wasn't able to go to school for financial reasons and because she didn't have anyone to help her study, so she decided to set up a small shop. She gained experience in sales by helping out in her aunt's shop. Her son works in agriculture. She has 25 years' experience selling everyday groceries. Her business makes money and, with the profits she makes, she has managed to build her small house. She has someone who helps out in her business if she's not there for some reason, and she works practically all day as the business is in her home.

She is asking for a loan through CrediCampo to buy 5 sacks of beans, 15 hundred-weight of maize and 2 hundred-weight of rice. In the future, she wants to have basic produce to sell to people in her community since currently transport is quite feasible so she can move goods to her house, whereas in the winter it is very difficult.
