Awa's Group's story

This group was founded in July 2012. It is made up of members who live in the same district. They are merchants who run small businesses. Yacine is shown on the far right in the photo with her arm raised, and is the leader of the group. She is 54 years old, married and the mother of six children. Yacine is a merchant of clothing for women and children.

With her ​​loan, she plans to purchase 40,000 Francs' worth of clothing as she currently has a good customer base. Yacine's objectives are to increase the working capital for her business, and increase her savings.
